Digital Creative Space
Designed as an open-access co-working space, the Digital Creative Space is available to all members of the university and offers a modern learning and working environment for smaller and larger groups. Students and staff will find SmartBoards, MultiTouch tables with various scenarios for brainstorming and group work, a video wall, and three-sided stelae on which different degrees of analog-digital collaboration are possible. Comfortable, informal workstations at the kitchen table or lounge corners invite people to develop new ideas together.
How do I use the room?
The Digital Creative Space was specially designed for group work. Smaller and larger groups will find various zones for creative collaboration here. The DCS is freely available to all members of the university during the opening hours of the SUB. Pre-registration or reservation is not necessary.
SMART Board
SMART Board is a digital board that can be used as a stand-alone whiteboard or connected to a computer to provide a projection surface for content presentations (e.g. PPT slides). The SMART Boards are touch-sensitive like common touchscreens and allow operation with fingers and special pens.
Rotary Posts
The central elements of the room include three stelae located in the middle of the room. They are rotatable spatial elements, triangular in cross-section, with three differently equipped sides.
Media control system
The room lighting as well as the power supply for the technology is regulated in the Digital Creative Space via the media control systems. These are located on both sides of the entrance in the form of touch panels. You can use them to control the entire room or to turn on, turn off and dim the lights in the desired work zone.
SMARTkapp
The SMARTkapp board is a digital whiteboard or flipchart on which you can write as usual with whiteboard pens while sharing your work with up to 250 people online and in real time.
Multitouch tables
Various creativity techniques for group work and brainstorming have been implemented on the MultiTouch tables. Up to three small groups can work here in parallel on the same or different tasks. Currently, scenarios such as moderation circles, placemat, or project planner are offered here. New scenarios are constantly being added, and all users are offered the opportunity to develop new scenarios and applications together with us.
