How to I use the room?

The Digital Creative Space was specially designed for group work. Smaller and larger groups will find various zones for creative collaboration here. The DCS is freely available to all members of the university during the opening hours of the SUB. Pre-registration or reservation is not necessary.

We are happy to offer all interested parties introductions to the Digital Creative Space as well as briefings on the technology available on site. If you are interested, please contact us via email at elearning@uni-goettingen.de or check our website for suitable dates.

Since the DCS is used autonomously by the visitors, we rely on your personal responsibility. Please handle the equipment of the room with care and show consideration for the other users! Please adhere to the "Code of Conduct" when using the DCS:

Code of Conduct

• The Digital Creative Space offers space for group work for everyone at the university: students, teachers, researchers, staff...
• This is designed as an open workspace, where conversations and discussions are also allowed to take place. Quiet individual workstations can be found right next door.
• Please take care of the equipment and the other users.
• Larger working groups should also find room here. Therefore, please leave the sofas in the two seating areas.
• With the triangular steles (rotatable) you can arrange the room. However, please be aware that people may also be working on the other two sides.
• We provide pens for the writable surfaces. Please use only these. If the pen does not stick to the whiteboard, it is not ours – hands off!
• After work, please wipe the surfaces clean again. Cleaning wipes and sprays can be found on the rolling carts.
• The multi-touch table is delicate, do not place anything on it.
• Please no food or drinks in the DCS except water in sealable containers. Enjoy your coffee and snack in the cafeteria here in the SUB. This also offers a nice view of the campus.
• For a nap in between, please use the quiet room in the VG, not the DCS.
• This room may be booked for special events. Please check the corresponding notices.

It is possible to book the room for individual events for half a day or full day. The DCS is especially intended for those events whose attention is focused on group work and the use of technology.
