Registration for the doctoral examination

At the Faculty of Social Sciences you can do a cumulative doctorate or write a monograph. If you do a cumulative doctorate, you write scientific articles, so-called paper/journal articles, which can or should be published in scientific journals. You will discuss the exact procedure individually with your first supervisor and the Office of the Dean of Studies.

In order to be admitted to the doctoral examination (oral examination, the so called disputation), several requirements must be met. If you have successfully completed your doctoral studies and finished your dissertation, you can submit the Application for Admission to the Doctoral Examination.

Please contact the Dean of Studies to discuss the exact procedure according to the examination regulations that apply to you.

Please note that you must remain enrolled in the doctoral programme until the disputation.
