Ph.D. Opportunities



The Chair of Application Systems and E-Business offers motivated graduates the opportunity to pursue a PhD. A PhD is a prerequisite for an academic career, demonstrating your ability to work independently in scientific research. Through close integration with practical applications, you will also acquire important professional skills, excellently preparing you for a career outside of the university. The following information provides an overview of the PhD process at our chair.



What are your responsibilities?



  • Research: The chair offers innovative research topics with a practical orientation, on which you will work both independently and in a team. You will benefit from exchange within an interdisciplinary team. You should aim to publish your research results in international journals and conferences.

  • Teaching: You will supervise theses and seminar papers as well as project seminars in your area of interest and research. Additionally, you will be involved in the organization, supervision, and implementation of teaching activities.

  • (Practical) Projects: In addition to research and teaching, you will support our cooperation partners in exciting projects. This will give you insights into current issues in various industries and help you establish important contacts with companies.
