Pia is a doctoral student at the Chair of Development Economics and a scholarship holder of the CeMIS PhD Fellowship in Global Health. Her research interests include Global Health, Development Economics, and Applied Econometrics. Her current work focuses on access to care for cardiometabolic diseases. She holds an MSc in Development Economics and a BSc in Economics from the University of Göttingen. She has previously worked at the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), the Bernhard Nocht Institute for Tropical Medicine (BNITM), and the German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA).
