SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

My interest lies mainly in neural development. How a small group of cells in the early embryo gives rise to the complex nervous system of the adult vertebrates is what intrigues me. I wish to study neural stem cells, their developmental pathways and the molecular mechanisms involved in their self renewal and differentiation.
