Dr. Nina Steinweg

Dr. Nina Steinweg (she/her) is Senior Researcher at GESIS- Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences in the Center of Excellence Women and Science CEWS. She studied law in Bonn, Heidelberg and Montpellier (Maitrîse en Droit Public) and completed her doctorate in European and international public international law at the University of Heidelberg. Her work focuses on gender equality and anti-discrimination law in science; quality assurance of gender equality measures and policies as well as personnel structures and governance in science. Nina Steinweg coordinates the scientific service of the CEWS, including databases on gender equality and anti-discrimination law and the database on model examples of gender equality measures (INKA). Nina Steinweg has been a member of the advisory board of the NRW Women's and Gender Studies Network since 2014 and is also a member of the Gender Studies Association, the DeKolonial Association and the trans*inter in law network. Nina Steinweg is currently involved in two research projects, a study on intersectional gender inequalities in structural and culturally normative organizational and working conditions at universities (SIGIS) and Systematic Reviews in Gender Studies (GendAReview).
