- Academic Advisory Services
Regarding academic advisory services you have two options.
Specific questions about political science programs can always be addressed to the Departments academic advisor: PD Dr. Klaus Detterbeck
General questions about studying at the Faculty for Social Sciences can be addressed to the Faculty's academic advisors.
In order to graduate, the most important questions normally are: How, where, and when do I have to register for the examination? And who can be my examiner / supervisor?
- The first question can be answered by the Examination Office of the Faculty for Social Sciences. Their following presentation is supposed to provide a helpful overview: Steps to your bachelor thesis (pdf-document)
As to who can be your supervisor, we provide a list of potential examiners (Link) at the Department and their fields of interest (pdf-document). Ideally, you and your supervisor already know each other because you attended one of their lectures or seminars.
- Credit transfer / placement
Inquiries about credit transfer and placement can be directed to the Examination Office of the Faculty for Social Sciences (Mr Sören Steinbach)
- Internship advice
The Students Office takes care of the advice with regard to your internship. Further information can be found here (Link).
- Equal Opportunities Officers
Information as well as contact persons for questions regarding equal opportunities can be found at the website of the Equal Opportunities Office of the Faculty for Social Sciences. Students can contact the Department's equal opportunities officers first, currently Jenny Rademann. For more information please visit this website
