Research Focus

As a doctoral student in the WIN project, Pia's research has shifted to forests in Germany. Her work involves analyzing and categorizing stakeholders who play a key role in the conservation, management, and potential reactivation of coppice stands in northwestern Germany. She also examines the rules, values, and knowledge systems that influence stakeholder decision-making processes and identifies strategies to overcome current barriers to reviving this endangered silvicultural practice.
