Andrea D. Bührmann has been elected chairwoman of the University Council of the University of Erfurt

The Senate of the University of Erfurt has elected our Institute Director Andrea D. Bührmann to the University Council of the University of Erfurt. Her election on 12th July 2023 was jointly suggested by the Presidium of the University of Erfurt and the Thuringian Ministry for Economy, Science and Digital Society. The term of office lasts four years, beginning on 1st October 2023. In its first meeting on 3rd November 2023, Andrea D. Bührmann was elected chairwoman of the University Council.

The University Council makes recommendations on the profile of the university and on the priorities in research and teaching as well as on the further development of the course offerings. Additionally, the University Council makes statements, confirms the economic plan, approves annual financial statements, accepts the Presidium's annaul report and participates in the selection, election and deselection of the President and the Head of Administration.
