Anti-Corruption Officer of the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen (excluding UMG)

  • The Anti-Corruption Officer is appointed by the Executive Board of the University.
  • The Anti-Corruption Officer is the point of contact for the Executive Board, employees, students and third parties.
  • The Anti-Corruption Officer has a direct right of presentation to the Presidential Board.
  • He or she is informed comprehensively and in good time to ensure that his or her tasks are carried out in accordance with the mandate.


    Further tasks of the Anti-Corruption Officer include:
  • Promoting awareness among employees by providing advice and information
  • making proposals to the Executive Committee on how to proceed with internal investigations, on measures to prevent concealment and on informing the public prosecutor's office in the event of a suspicion of corruption that is justified by the facts
  • Advice on the acceptance of donations, gifts and sponsorship
  • Maintaining contact with and exchanging information with the supervisory authorities
  • Cooperation with the law enforcement authorities on general anti-corruption issues

  • You have the option of reporting your suspicions directly via the University's whistleblower system either with your name or anonymously. The option of anonymous reporting protects you from possible repressive measures. The information passed on will be treated in strict confidence.
