Vacancies at the University of Göttingen normally are advertised via the university's website on current job offers and/or via the faculties' or departments' own websites. The following faculties and departments are of particular interest for PhD students in the social sciences:

• Faculty of Social Sciences
• Faculty of Law (you can also check the scholarships offered by the faculty)
• Department of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development (Faculty of Agricultural Sciences)
• Divisions of Forest Economics and Forest Utilization as well as Forest and Nature Conservation Policy and Forest History (Faculty of Forest Sciences and Forest Ecology)
