The library of the Apparatus Diplomaticus serves purposes of both research and teaching. It contains approximately 5700 volumes and six journals, mainly concerned with the auxiliary sciences of history. The library of the auxiliary sciences is connected to those of the Seminar of Medieval and Modern History and of the Institute of Regional History. The entrance is situated in the KWZ (Kulturwissenschaftliches Zentrum). Its collections are contained in the catalog of the University of Göttingen (Göttinger Universitätskatalog (GUK).
