Doing Business in Japan / India / Korea

Due to the rapid growth of Asian countries in the modern economy and intense business ties between Europe and Asia knowledge about Asian business and management has become important.

These three courses aims at increasing the understanding of Asian business and management. Students will learn about the economic environments, success factors of major Asian companies and how foreign companies and managers can succeed in the selected Asian countries, India, South Korea, and Japan.

Doing Business in Korea:
Doing Business in Korea will be offered in Summer Semester 2026 by Prof. Jongseon Park, Professor at Loyola University Chicago, USA. Prof. Park is an expert in international management and cross-cultural business practices, with a particular focus on East Asia and Korea. The course will take place as a block lecture on April 24 and 25.

Doing Business in India:
Doing Business in India will be offered in Summer Semester 2026 by Prof. Arup Varma, Professor at the Loyola University Chicago, USA. Prof. Varma is an internationally recognized scholar in the fields of international human resource management, global talent management, and comparative employment systems, with a particular focus on emerging economies such as India. The course dates will be announced soon.
